Birdie-
Approx. D.O.B~ April 2008
This little rug rat just bounced into our foster program after a short stint in Dallas Animal Services. With her pale, wire-haired coat and pretty, plum colored nose, its clear Birdie will stand out in a crowd.
Birdie is fully crate trained, and like most puppies her age she is working on her potty training. If you are interested in making Birdie a part of your family please contact Angie Manriquez at (214) 688-5585
Copper-
D.O.B ~ December 2007
Copper is our "One-eyed Wonder". He was found in a field at two months old, likely dumped. With a bad skin condition and mangled eye, Copper had a very cruel start in life. His right eye was too far gone for vets to save so they surgically removed it. He adjusted perfectly. These days he has his stunning copper-colour coat and knows people can be good. He loves attention and gets along with other dogs, he is both crate and potty trained. Copper is a good example of the age od saying- what doesn't kill you, makes you stronger.

Duke-
DOB ~ March 08'

Duke walks well on a leash and loves to sit in your lap. In the up coming weeks we will know more about this hansome gentleman.

Tyler -
D.O.B~ September 2007
Tyler is a very loving guy who won’t turn down a treat. His breed is just a quick guess(looking back not the best), he has a very smooth, brindle coat and nice pointy bat ears. If you are interested in Tyler we urge you to arrange to se him in person- his pictures do him no justice! His head looks blocky and he looks like a large dog when infact he is small/medium. Tyler could use some basic training but seems to learn fast. Very food motivated. He is both house and crate trained. Tyler has spent most of is time in foster care surrounded by many different dogs, so he gets along with most everyone!
For more information please contact my foster mom Angie at (214) 688-5585
Walter -
DOB ~ Feb. 08
Walter is a breath of fresh air. With his spunky markings and his ready-to-go persona, he’s looking for that right home. Like his brother, he is a puppy and has a ton of energy. Walter would make a fabulous running or jogging partner! He does need a yard or an owner willing to go on multiple walks daily…or maybe even trips to the dog park. Walter was found running on a country road with his brother Winston who has already found a home.

Lupita-
Lupita is new with our rescue. She hasn't come out of her shell and we're still learning her personality. She is very shy. She was found by herself on a Dallas street. She has had her first shots, but hasn't been spayed or micro chipped yet.

Cinnamon - Female - Staffordshire Bull terrier mix
Cinnamon was surrendered to her foster mom after she was found in a
small wire crate with her sister. The owner said they were put in the
crate because they were sick. They were kept in the crate at all times
without any food or water.
After going to the vet it was soon
clear why they were so sick. Both dogs were full of hook worms. Now
healthy; her attitude towards life is unaffected and ready for her
forever home. Cinnamon is ready for the challenge.
Cinnamon is
a confident young dog; and is willing to lay on anyone’s lap. Even if
she has just met you she wants to be at your side. She is willing to
please and LOVES positive attention. If you’re looking for a sweet,
cuddle bug please consider adopting Cinnamon.

Emily - Female - Border Collie mix
Emily was found running around loose on the street, but wouldn’t
come to the humans that were trying to save her. She was chased back
under a fence where she’d been escaping. When her foster mom talked to
her owners they simply asked her “do you want her?”. Without any
hesitation into the car she went where everyone knew she’d be a safe.
She
is now in a foster home where she is waiting for her forever home. She
is your typical BC puppy with endless energy. Ready to go at any time,
no matter what you’ve got planned. Emily is going to need a yard and an
owner that is willing to spend the time working her. Not to mention the
energy to keep up with this little fire ball.

Levi - Male - Staffordshire Bull Terrier/ Lab mix
D.O.B. ~ June 08'
This attractive young guy is waiting for
you to take him home. He was found running down the middle of the
street with his brother (Boomer) and another terrier buddy. With no
clue where they were coming from or where they were headed; they ran
right to their foster mom. Now safe they are hoping that perfect person
is waiting around the corner.
Levi is bigger than his brother;
yet he has a shy personality. Once he warms up to you, he’s more than
happy to lay next to you and give you kisses. He is a bit more
observant than his brother. When he meets some one new he usually likes
to get to know you before jumping into unknown waters. But that is a
good thing because it gives everyone a chance to get to know each
other.
Now just because he can be shy doesn’t me he can’t be
outgoing. Levi loves playing with other dogs, but he is more of a
people friendly boy.
If you are interested in making Levi a
part of your family please contact Angie Manriquez at (214) 688-5585
Simone - Female - Chihuahua mix
Simone is an owner surrender and it’s clear she has been abused in
the past; possibly physically and mentally. She is an absolute doll
baby, but she is very aware of where your hands are at all times. She
is going to need some TLC, but with time she is going to just light up.
When she went outside with a volunteer it took a short amount of time
to win her over, but being gentle is the way to go. Her feelings are
still a bit sensitive from her previous living conditions

Sparky - Male - Chihuahua
This face is too cute for words. Sparky was found on the street
all by himself; skin and bones, looking for a nice place to call home.
He stumbled across his foster mom while she was driving down the street
and like any smart guy; he hitched a ride.
Now that he is
putting on weight he is starting to come out of his shell and show his
true personality. He is a love bug that likes to snuggle up with you on
the couch. He might not look like a softy, but he’s a fluffy bed type
of boy. Even though he was living on the street and probably has no
experience around people he LOVES human attention. Sparky is a super
affectionate guy and will do anything to please you if you’ve got a
treat in hand. He likes to play with other dogs, but he’s much rather
be next to you getting pet.
If you're looking for a nice quiet
companion please consider Sparky as your four legged buddy. Contact his
Foster mom Angie for more information at (214) 688-5585
Benny - Male - Beagle/ lab mix
Benny is an all american mutt dog. Your guess as to what he's
mixed with is as good as ours. We're thinking he's possibly a beagle/
Lab mix, but we can't be sure.
Also if you haven't noticed by now, Benny is a three legged dog.
Don't let him fool you into pittying him. He walks, runs and slinks
his way around to get exactly what he wants.
He must go to a home were his owner is female. He is not a fan of
men and will not do good in a home with a male. What can we say? He's
a ladies man.
Benny would also do best if he were able to have you all to
himself. He does live with other dogs, but he tends to get extremely
jealous when another dog is getting "his" attention. He just wants to
be sure you don't forget about him.
If you're interested in our lovely boy Benny please contact his foster mom: Angie Manriquez - (214) 688-5585
Jasmine - Female - Pointer / Terrier mix
DOB ~ Feb 08'
Jasmine was found running loose on the street
with her brother. Soon after being plucked off the street her brother
was adopted.
Then without notice Jasmine developed a severe skin
condition. She was taken to a doggy dermotalogist and was diagnosed
with a food allergy.
She is on a strict diet of potato and
venison dog food. For her safety the home she goes to must understand
just how important it is for her to stay on this specific diet. If she
lives with another dog (or how ever many) they will need to be switched
over to the same diet. It is the only way to be sure she stays healthy
and doesn't have a reaction. It would only take one piece of another
food or treat to make her have a reaction.
Even though she has
had a rough start at life and she is still adapting to her new way of
living, it's not stopping her. She is still a young puppy looking to
have fun. We just have to be extra careful to make sure she stays
happy and healthy. Most of all we want her to keep thriving in life.
So if you're ready to welcome this stunning beauty into your home,
please contact her foster mom Angie Manriquez at (214) 688-5585
