Angie's Friends is a 501(c)3 non-profit animal welfare organization established in 2008 for the sole purpose of aiding neglected dogs in economically depressed neighborhoods of Dallas and surrounding communities.
The organization is named for, and the grassroots work is done by, Angie Manriquez, who is known throughout the community as "The Fairy Dogmother of West Dallas." Angie's friends formed "Angie's Friends" to facilitate her critical efforts, work she has been doing for a decade in many neighborhoods, despite her "West Dallas" moniker. Angie spends the majority of every day going house to house to feed, water, medicate, provide shelter for, and pat the heads of dogs that have extremely low quality of life, living on short chains in neglectful and abusive situations. She needs your help.
Of course, money is always best; needs change quickly. But these items are always in short supply:
Dog food (dry or canned)
Dog houses (almost flat, slightly slanted roofs are better than gabled)
Hay or straw (bales, wintertime)
Chain-link (or similar), bolt together kennels
Extra large, heavy, outdoor water bowls
Chain link fencing
PetSmart, Petco, Target, Wal Mart, Home Depot, etc. gift cards
Your donations of funds or supplies can be made to Beverly Fyfe, 972-690-9260. Donations are tax deductible and you will receive a receipt.
